The inn has been in continuous operation for 24 years both as a bed & breakfast inn/restaurant and as a bed & breakfast inn only. During the last 8 years it has been a bed and breakfast inn only. However, the dining area and kitchen have been rented for occasional functions by caterers, including weddings, reunions, showers, and other functions.
This beautiful inn is located in the small rural town of Buena Vista in southwest Georgia, about 30 miles east of Fort Benning and Columbus, GA. The circa 1904 main house with Neoclassical Revival-style architecture is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A wrap around front porch with rocking chairs and ceiling fans evokes the charm and renowned hospitality of the old South. Inside, hardwood floors, crystal chandeliers, vaulted ceilings with elegant crown molding, a wide carpeted staircase illuminated through exquisite stained glass windows, antique furnishings, and festive seasonal decorations complement the warmth and grandeur of the home.

The cottage is a cozy, two-storey home adjacent to the main house with a large sitting room and full kitchen. The two buildings have a total of seven guest bedrooms (3 in the main house and 4 in the cottage), all with private baths, accommodating up to 17 individuals.

​The main house contains a full restaurant kitchen, with two dining rooms that will accommodate up to 50 individuals. Separate elegant men’s and women’s restrooms (1/2 baths) are in the hallway outside the dining room area. The innkeeper’s living suite on the first level of the main house is a large bedroom with large bath containing a separate claw-foot tub and walk-in shower.
