Summary: We had a great time at Boat of Garten. It's a good base for hiking. However, the photos of the cottage are somewhat misleading. The chalet is located in a holiday park, albeit on the edge (fortunately!). The room with the double bed has ample space, but the other room is very small, and the beds are narrower than usual. It was simply too small for my two teenagers. Otherwise, the cottage is neat and clean. I did miss proper pots and pans, though. The ones I did have were either too small or damaged. That made cooking for a family a challenge.
