Villa Unari is a cozy and well-equipped 85 m² woody cabin built in 1992 and renovated in 2016. It's located by the beautiful lake Unarijärvi near the mouth of the river Meltausjoki. On the ground floor, living room/kitchen with fireplace, bedroom with 2 beds, bedroom with a double bed, washroom, toilet, glassed-in porch, open veranda. On the loft 4 beds and living area.
In addition, a separate sauna building with a steam room (wood stove), bathroom (shower) and living room with fireplace and terrace. Washing machine in sauna building.
Charging an electric car must always be agreed with the owner in advance.
Pets are allowed for an additional fee. Cottage can be rented for maximum 8 persond and additionally extra beds for maximum 4 persons can be arranged in sofa beds for additional fee.
Two boxes of firewood are included in the price (one for the sauna and one for the cabin) and after that the owner charges 7€/box for firewood. Lake Unarinjärvi is a clean, large and fish-rich lake (perch, pike, whitefish, pikeperch and vendace). River Meltausjoki and its rapids offer nice challenges for fishermen trying to catch graylings. Boat, outboard motor and fishing gear can be rented from the owner. Private sand beach offers a comfortable space for hobbies, camping and beach life. In winter, there is a cross-country ski trail maintained by the village association. There are also several routes for snowmobiles in the area. Nature, forests and hills offers a great opportunity for outdoor activities and hiking all year round.
The owners live across the field and there is also a charter restaurant Leiskun Pirtti there. Occasionally around the year there are different kind of events in the restaurant, for example around music, dancing, karaoke, fishing, snowmobiling, both outdoors and indoors. Please, notice that during the events there are restaurant guests at the neigborhood and also noise can be carried all the way to the cottage.
