Summary: First, the hotel did NOT have the Hotels.com reservation and I spent an hour on the phone trying to get a refund so I could book with the front desk. Once we got into the room, we discovered that the room was in serious disrepair and the kitchenette had the doors on the fridge facing the wall so it was difficult to use, AC barely worked, bathroom was old & dilapitated. Then, when getting ready for bed, the lights shorted out and room when pitch black. Called the front desk and attendant was unsympathetic and rude. Moved us to another room and refused to bring us new keys even after I explained we were in our pj's and would have to pack up all our belongings with only a phone light. The front desk attendant, Desiree, told me we could either choose to move or quit complaining because it wasn't her fault and there would be NO discount regardless of the inconvenience of moving everything at 11pm in the dark with a kid. We moved. The new room was better but I will never stay again and never use hotels.com again. What a completely terrible experience!
