The Space
Welcome to The Reel House—your family’s personal retreat on one of Michigan’s beautiful, private inland lakes.
This charming A-frame style home is outfitted with some modern updates, without losing its cottage charm. You will find the entire interior is knotty pine, with a open floor plan on both levels, vaulted ceilings, and 2-walk outs to the lakefront patio.
The main floor has one queen bedroom, a full kitchen, living room that overlooks the canal and lake, and a generous size bathroom with a walk-in shower and washer/dryer unit.
The kitchen is centrally located with a 8-foot dining table/island that your group can gather around for meals, or hang out at for games or conversation. There is a double oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher available, as well as all cooking utensils, dishes, flatware, toaster, coffee maker, and more. If you feel like playing a game and turning on a movie during your stay, there is a 55” Roku TV that has complimentary streaming services from Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, & Netflix, not to mention high-speed internet.
The upstairs is a loft space with 2 twin beds, & 2 queen-size beds, perfect for a shared space for adults, kids, or both! There are space divider curtains installed in the loft to provide a little privacy.
The Indoor/outdoor living space is set up on the patio for your enjoyment with a steel pergola, that has optional mosquito netting and curtains, enabling your group to enjoy the outdoors no matter the time of day. Enjoy the incredible, peaceful water views from the outdoor seating, and cook dinner on the propane grill.
Lake Access
The Reel House is located on at the entry of a canal that empties directly into Dickerson Lake. This is an all-sport lake that stretches 225 acres, and is 48 feet at its deepest point. It is known for is quiet atmosphere and year-round fishing.
The Reel has a spot for your boat! Bring your jet skis, fishing boat, or even the pontoon/ski boat and dock it on the canal less than 50 steps from the back door.
The public boat launch is less than half a mile from the our property, making for an easy drop-off and pick-up.
