SoCal Attractions
Disneyland (1hr 15mins), Universal Studio (1hr 30min), Sea World (30 min), The San Diego Zoo (35 min), are all things that you may enjoy. My suggestion is to visit these places midweek to avoid the big crowds. Hollywood is fun to walk around if you love the “Stars” or if you book a play at the Pantages which is an amazing theater. Concerts at the Shell in San Diego is a must if you love music. For more adventurous music lovers, The Belly Up is a fun way to party into the night with local bands. La Jolla cove has snorkeling and can be fun. It is nothing like Hawaii but it’s a fun day with a lot of good restaurants around. For the hikers there are plenty of trails around. A few favorites are Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve for spectacular coastal views or for a shorter hike, Annie’s trail in Encinitas. Head west on LaCosta until you hit the 101 then turn right. To the left is Ponto. You can travel more North to visit Carlsbad City Beach, Tamarack Beach and Carlsbad City Beach. There is free outdoor music located in the campgrounds of the Carlsbad State beach. There is food at the “Camp Store” and places to sit. If you have “littles” Carlsbad is home of Legoland for amazing imaginative minds, music museum and plenty of parks nearby. Downtown Carlsbad Village has loads of bars and restaurants, unique shopping and a fun vibe.
