Summary: The Reef House is a gathering place for the community. Expats and locals come and go throughout the day and evening. You are immediately included in the family of staff, visitors and locals. The owner and manager make you feel welcome. The ladies in the kitchen cook great food. The man-made saltwater pool is a great place to relax on a floaty or snorkel. Night snorkeling was amazing.
You can also swim out off the dock and snorkel the reef. It’s a beautiful spot away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist side of the island. The people and the beauty make up for the amenities that may be lacking for some. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable, but it’s quite rustic and bare bones. A/C worked great.

Summary: My stay at the Reef House was exactly what I wanted. It has the old Roatan charm to an old dive shop that has the most welcoming staff I have ever met. From the owner Davey to Keith the IT/Bartender and the friendliest cook staff that makes great down home cooking. David the dive master has been out on the reef longer than most have known about Roatan. He knows some really cool places to see.

Summary: Booked this place as the last night of a longer trip, it was great and wish we had longer to stay there. Great staff, delicious food and picturesque. It is a quieter part of the island and we had a great time.

Summary: Amazing people- treated like family! I can’t say enough about this place- nothing fancy but will definitely return- boat ride to the floating bar with our new friends Becky, Mr. Rick, Bush, Capt. Ryan and all the wonderful people! Brunetta and Keith took great care of us! I hope I’m not forgetting anyone! If you go here- even for a few days you will have a great time! Like I said- nothing fancy but I loved it!

Summary: The Reef House is in a quiet part of the island. We went for relaxation and diving. The first night we snorkeled at night in the ocean pool and saw octapus, shrimp, flounder, small eels, and huge urchins.
My older son wanted to fish, so they arranged a day of fishing and visiting a shallow area where nurse sharks and rays hang out, so we got to snorkel with them. We caught a bunch of tuna and they cooked it up for us for dinner. We went during the end of August, which is the slow time. We had every reef to ourselves.
Davitt, the dive master was just the right pace for us, slow, with the flow. We had amazing wall dives, a night dive that was right in front of the Reef House. Cootie was our captain and he kept us entertained between dives.
A lot of locals come to the house bar. We really enjoyed meeting people from different parts of the world that live in Roatan now.

Summary: My wife and I could not be happier with our recent 11 night stay at the Reef House. The location's scenery was AMAZING, the resort was quite, no barking dogs, no traffic noise, no loud hotel guests, etc. The resort's atmosphere was chill, relaxing and peaceful. The AC was ice cold, the shower water was plentiful and hot! The food was all made onsite and was simply fabulous. The owners, Davy and Dilcia were warm, caring and extremely helpful. Keith and Tiffany attended to our every need from ordering food to keeping us hydrated to local Roatan history and all things sightseeing! The maid and cooks were all upbeat, cheery and a delight to talk with. The family cat was super cool and Polly the parrot talked and laughed right along with all of us! If everything we are describing matches your traveler profile, you will not find a better place to stay in Roatan than the Reef House!

Summary: This was a great place to stay. All of the staff was awsome ! Keith was easy to communicate with before we got there. He set it up so that we got off the ferry from Utilla and there was a cab waiting to take us to their boat for the ride to Reef House. We Will be back !! We left feeling like family !!

Summary: It was a nice quiet wonderful stay. This place is mainly use for deep diving and Snorkeling. Not a beach like raton beach bay.Everyone was patient due to some family kept changing their minds if they wanted to eat there .They do have a menu but part of the family is picky eaters. So i am so grateful with the patience.
