Nestled on an 15 acre gated property with hiking and walking trails, plenty of outdoor furniture to sit, lounge and take in nature, two ponds and 1000+ feet of creek frontage, Little River will take you back to those simpler days we all long for! Mountain charm at its best! And only 20 minutes to downtown Boone and within 35 minutes of all the major ski resorts (App Ski, Sugar, Beech and Hawksnest), the location is perfect - away from it all (the mountain experience you expect), but easy access to your family activities!

And no mountain experience isn't perfect without your own petting zoo next door! The goats are a riot & more animals to come, ducklings are hatching, maybe some giant rabbits - who knows what Connie has up her sleeve with this farm!
This little guest cottage is mountain style dressed up with modern day decor and features a convenient little kitchenette, complete with dishes, cooking utensils and a small fridge. The cozy living area is complete with a king bed, a wardrobe housing a flat screen TV, a rocking chair and lamps on end tables. The bath area has a unique yesteryear claw foot tub, just like the good old days (not to worry, it has a long shower handle for those longing for a shower not from yesteryear!). The loft area has a sitting area over looking the creek, a double bed and a chest of drawers. This cabin is comfy and cozy for two, but welcomes up to 2 adults and 2 small kids (this is a small cabin and anything more than 2 adults and 2 small children, let's chat before booking).
And the kids will truly be one with nature (as will you) with acres to explore, frogs to find, birds to watch, stones to skip ... the list goes on and on.
The front porch is covered so you can sit and listen to the birds singing and expect a lot of flying wildlife on property! The deck is complete with a newly installed hot tub for you to take in the stars while relaxing alongside your 1000 feet of Little River frontage access! There is also an outdoor table and chairs to dine out.
The property has so much to offer. You can take a walk around the property (now 20 fully accessible acres) or hike through the surrounding woods and beautiful seasonal flowers can be found all over the property for your enjoyment. Picnic spots are also available throughout the property to rest your legs or simply sit to enjoy your own slice of mountain life. You might see some wildlife, as there is an abundance and the area land is not as developed as other towns. There are also two ponds on your property! Tube down the lazy creek or stroll through the vegetable garden, relax, sit back, take a load off, you have earned it. You deserve it!
You are sure to find something that will be a memory to take home. "Calming, stress relieving, and peaceful." These are the words we hear time and time again to describe this beautiful well-maintained, gated and secluded property.
PET POLICY: You are invited to visit our little piece of heaven, and feel free to bring the family dog, HOWEVER, pre-approval is required, $50 fee, crate policy if you need to leave her unattended and we really try to keep the pet under 40 pounds, its a small cabin.
Special Note: This is a guest house as detailed above. The land is shared between your family, the main home and our barns next door to enjoy the land because it is too well kept and too fun not to share!
