Playa Hermosa is a small fishing village turned perfect tourist destination in the last decade. While not a surfing destination itself, the lagoon type beach makes it an ideal spot for enjoying the calm waters and the horseshoe shaped beach that is dotted with small bars and restaurants. There is a main road through town complete with a variety of dining areas and quite a lively music and bar seen in the evening. This location is approximately a 45 minutes drive from the Liberia Airport.

Summary: We loved this house. Very well stocked. It had everything we needed. The house was clean. The pool was great. Outdoor seating beautiful. The only issue we had that needs attention is a sewer smell that came into the house through vents in the guest bathrooms. Some days it was stronger than others. We were given packets to put into the toliet and flush but those did not help. I felt terrible for my daughters because their rooms really smelled especially the bedroom with the attached bathroom. The house manager told us we could find someone to come and fix it if we wanted to but that is the last thing we wanted to deal with on our vacation. We also had flooding around the front door into the house during a big storm. We moped the water out of the house and off the front entry way.
