Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Lodge was comfortable, in a very pleasant position on the edge of the woods and was very conveniently located for us as visitors to Deeside Gliding Club. Although the Lodge had no washing machine, the hotel provided a good washing service at reasonable cost. The shower in the Lodge was excellent.

Negative: We were a bit disappointed that hotel bar and restaurant facilities were not generally available to users of the Lodges requiring a drive into town for food and drink. The Lodge was generally well equipped but there was little control available for the heating meaning it was easy to make it too hot or too cold. A few small additions to the equipment would make it better at relatively low cost - some shelves in the oven, a pair of scissors, at least one small sharp knife, a scouring sponge for washing up etc for example. The wi-fi was very intermittent in this Lodge and even when wi-fi was available, internet access often wasn't. A good broadband service is now seen as an essential facility in almost all accommodation - it the wired broadband service in Dinnet is no good, perhaps a mobile data service could be provided.

Summary: Comfortable stay in a convenient location. Could be even better.
