The Holston River Lodge is truly a magical mountain river house located directly on a beautiful stretch of the South Holston River. With over 5 acres of land and 400 yards of river frontage, this ultimate outdoor playground is what truly makes this retreat so special. The fishing is world class and the swimming, tubing and kayaking are loads of fun too. And you now can unwind even more during your stay by relaxing in out new 5 person hot tub. The Holston River Lodge also has two beautiful gas burning fireplaces, one in the main level living room and one in the basement den.
With beautiful architecture and details designed to create the perfect retreat for you and your guests. This property was constructed in 2016 by a Virginia builder that is known for quality and detail using local logs and stone. You will enjoy every square inch of the craftsmanship throughout this house. Plenty of parking for all your guests. Cleaning and precautions are taken to make sure this home remains Covid free!! River Access is available to all guests. The depth ranges from inches to 12’ along the length of the river. A dip in the cool, clean water is highly encouraged and a great source of recreation. Enjoy great fishing in the South Holston for trout, small mouth bass, carp, and brim. Caution should always be paramount while swimming or wading in the Holston River during any time of year. Currents may be stronger and depths may change without warning due to rain or snow melt throughout all seasons.

Summary: We stopped here for a couple of nights to break up a long road trip. It was a perfect spot - beautiful property, nearby activities (state park), and the small town of Marion had everything you would need for shopping/restaurants/etc. The area is very picturesque, even in the dead of winter. Great for hikes or a walk in the wilderness. The home has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a great hot tub - perfect on a winter’s night.
