This gorgeous home was custom designed for a locally renowned Architect and has been featured in numerous local and national print and tv outlets and was even Houzz’s top house in America! This spacious and beautifully restored “Seattle Box” home has been painstakingly updated with all the amenities to make it a perfect home for your time in Seattle.
The house has three generous levels of high-ceiling living space with a stunning urban oasis surrounding it complete with hot tub, outdoor gas firepit, ceiling heaters for those chilly nights, and even a separate cottage on the property available for an additional charge so you can sleep up to 10 (the house sleeps 8 and that is the price listed. If you are interested in the cottage please inquire as it is an additional fee. No one else will be staying in the cottage while you are renting the home).
Inside the home, every detail has been thought through to provide you with a beautiful space to enjoy your time in Seattle. On the main floor there is a fully outfitted Chef’s kitchen with professional range, wine refrigerator, and everything you need to cook any meal you want. And if you don’t want to cook you are just steps away from fabulous restaurants. The generous dining room and two main floor living rooms provide you with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy time together.
In the lower level there is a custom bar with an icemaker, dishwasher, and refrigerator so you can gather adjacent to the Media Room complete with projector and drop-down screen! On this level there is a beautiful bathroom, full laundry room, and a generous bedroom filled with light.
Upstairs there is a wonderfully private Primary Suite with a spa bathroom complete with heated floors (even in the shower) and a heated towel rack. The sublime bed looks out onto a private second floor deck with views of the treetops and the garden below.
There is an additional washer / dryer on this floor along with a hall bathroom and two bedrooms that are bathed with light. One bedroom has a queen and the other has two twin beds providing you with plenty of flexibility.
For an additional charge, and to increase the amount the property sleeps from 8 to 10, there is a jewel box of a cottage on the property (if you do not elect it, it will be empty and not rented to someone else.) that is a perfect spot for a nanny, a friend or family member wanting more private space, or just additional sleeping space. It has a separate wet bar with fridge, sink, and microwave, a washer/dryer, a ¾ bathroom, and a queen murphy bed. Everything in the space was custom designed from the perfectly sized sofa to the folding coffee table that fits under the murphy bed when it is down. If you have someone who loves beautifully designed small spaces this is for them!
The home is wired with a full Sonos music system, lighting controls, endless on-demand hot water, and heated floors throughout. Every detail has been thought through for your comfort! We raised our kids here and it is a great home for children, friends, or a large family visiting town.
The neighborhood is surrounded by stately old homes yet you’re just steps away from vibrant shopping, coffee, and restaurants. It is really the perfect spot if you’re visiting Seattle as you can walk or take transit anywhere while being tucked next to beautiful old homes with a lush garden, private parking for two cars, and a fully fenced yard for having a perfect outdoor living experience.
NOTE: If you book this property, you are booking the house which sleeps 8 and NOT the cottage. If you would like the cottage which sleeps 2 additional people for a total of 10 please let me know.
