Relax and enjoy lake life on both big water and a cypress tree-lined cove in a 3 bedroom / 3 bath home out in the country. Be near hunting lodges, golf courses and one of the best inland birding areas in the southeast (Santee National Refuge - Pine Island). Great location for a church/business retreat, family vacation, or hunting/fishing/birding adventure!
Wonderfully stocked kitchen and furnished home, including ring doorbell/flood light and Amazon Alexa, with fire pit on secluded cul-de-sac surrounded by nature. Mature trees provide shade perfect for a hammock to enjoy the lake breezes or take a nap on the covered porch bed swing. Enjoy a game of basketball, volleyball, tetherball, ping pong, darts, and board games while grilling next to large patio deck ready for a picnic.
Master bedroom (downstairs) has a king bed and full futon, upstairs bedroom has a king bed and full futon, and bedroom over garage has four twins (not bunked). Three bathrooms have showers.
Boat ramp is accessed through carport (11.5 wide x 7.5 tall). If bringing a boat, please contact me. Fishing off dock is great...several people suggested to not throw fish remains back into lake as it will attract turtles who will take your bait. The big water can get rough, and Lake Marion has some unique features...best to research or hire a guide. The cove is good for tying up boat but best to pull boat out when not in use. No tying up boat or other floating objects, or installing rod holders, etc, to dock or wall. Use provided boat tie points near ramp. UPDATE 08/16/24 - Hurricane Debbie last week damaged the boat ramp and it is temporarily unusable. We are working with contractors to correct the situation. There are marinas and boat launches nearby for public use.
The house can sleep a max of 12 and to accommodate various sized groups we have a base rate for smaller groups (up to 6) and then have a small fee for additional guest up to the max.
