Summary: The hotel is very cosy and has a nice albeit small swimming pool, we didn’t eat at the hotel so cannot comment on food the general cleanliness was good . The room itself was below a standard expected for the price paid but as I booked through hotels.com , I think I paid a premium, the room was very hot so made it uncomfortable to sleep even though I turned the radiators off. The bed itself was very comfortable nice thick mattress and two comfy pillows, the worst part was the morning , shower was stone cold so could not use, some of the furniture in the room had seen it’s best days ie the desk and side tables ,there was also some nasty stains on the carpet, but as this is a new forest hotel with lots of hikers staying , I guess that is to be expected, there is plenty of parking and hotel is well situated for exploring the new forest. Based on the price I will give this hotel a rating of 3 stars .
