This cozy tiny house cottage is situated on private gated property by a private lake in rural North Florida. You'll find a lovely little spot for nature and outdoors lovers who would like an escape from the bright lights, traffic, polluted air and noisiness of more populated areas / towns / cities. We invite you to opt out of the chaos for a spell, and instead come stay for a night or two or three in the precious peace and quiet.
The cabin is reminiscent of a simplified tiny home, clean (sanitized) and well-appointed. There are three (3) sleeping areas: a loft, and a twin size daybed with additional twin size pull out mattress; the loft is perfect for agile kids aged approximately 7 and up and adults on the more slender / flexible side. Note: there is *not* a queen sized bed.
The cabin features a kitchenette including full kitchen sink, small fridge and freezer, hot plate, Ninja air fryer, dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and of course coffee and tea station. Neighboring towns with more varied eats are 15 to 40 minutes away, in any direction. Seating options are available both inside and outside the cabin, under the attached covered deck and porch.
Bathroom is in a separate bathhouse, approximately 10 yards from the cabin. There is one bathroom and shower which are exclusively for cabin guest usage, and not shared, during your stay. Includes full bath and private, partially enclosed spacious shower stall.
Please note: this rental is best for adventurous types who are not intimidated by exposure to nature, weather and the like.
Bring a book or your writing project plus your favorite snacks and groceries to prepare simple meals. Wi-Fi is not a guarantee, so this is perfect for professionals who may wish to "un-plug" for a short period of time to renew their neural pathways and return refreshed to their "normal" lives. Nearby Little Lake Santa Fe offers fun lake activities like swimming and kayaking, and local State Parks offer hiking and nature walks.
The host/ess is cognizant of electromagnetic frequency (Emf) sensitivity, as well as sensitivity to environmental toxins present in cleaning agents etc. For those in the know, here you will find a space free of Voc compounds and toxic chemicals, and a higher level of awareness in the mode and style of how the property is maintained overall.
For some this stay might closer resemble "glamping", but in the cabin you'll have a solid structure in which to lay your head. Greetings! This stay is a unique, eco-friendly, experience for those seeking peace and quiet who do not mind more rustic - but yet very clean - accommodations; Due to the environment being somewhat tropical, there are some rules with regard to food and waste handling so everything can always be kept clean, tidy and sanitized. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
#1 - House rule is: Be Considerate. Be Kind.
#2 - Observe Etiquette. I hope I don't have to expound on what that means. Etiquette hasn't been lost, has it?
# 3 - Remove shoes before going indoors. No shoes are to be worn inside the cabin.
# 4 - Use a coaster for drinks.
# 5 - Food & food containers must be disposed of properly to avoid insects, such as roaches or ants, this is Florida, a subtropical climate. Use sealed compost container for food, and rinse food or drink containers before disposing in trash can or recycling;
# 6 - This is a Dark neighborhood (for the most part), please turn off all lights at night time when going to bed.
$ 7 - Contact host if you need something or have any issue. We want your stay to be comfortable.
# 8 - Be aware of your surroundings, this is the country and (thankfully) wildlife is abundant. This is the real Florida, wild and free, and we live in harmony with All the wildlife.
# 9 - Feel free to explore the property, however please be aware of any signage and be respectful of other private guest areas.
#10 - Follow "exit" sign to leave the property, going around the loop and completing the circle going up the hill on the right side of the driveway.
# 11 - Well behaved / supervised children are welcome. Loft is not appropriate for small children. If you have a toddler, we may wish to discuss the removal of the ladder to the loft to prevent a small child from climbing on it.
